Setbacks, loss, and uncertainty can shake our sense of identity, making it difficult to imagine a way forward. What if, instead of seeing second chances as rare and conditional, we saw them as infinite—available to us as long as we are willing to learn, grow, and try again? Online courses, discussion forums, research databases—things that feel second nature to many students today are, for me, a whole new landscape to navigate. And yet, this is what second (and third, and fourth) chances are about. But what I do know is this: as long as I remain open to learning, as long as I keep moving forward, I am never out of chances.
